Ms. Melody Parks Has Come To Play On Wicked Wanton Wednesday

The wonderful Melody Parks is with me today on Wicked Wanton Wednesday and I’m hoping to finagle the directions to Cobalt Canyon, the setting for her new, steamy, BDSM romance, Claiming Crystal.  Imagine being whisked away to a secluded mountain retreat with a sexy dark haired gorgeous dominant man?  Oh, my!

You’ve got to clue us in, Melody.  I’d hate to resort to strong arm tactics.  Ahem…  Let’s start off with a little taste before I get down to the interrogation.  It could get ugly, I might have to use harsh words, bold print and capital letters!  LOL

Here we go with one sexy snippet from Claiming Crystal….

“Tell Crystal to go away for a while,” he whispered, putting a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “And let Miss Harman out to play.”

The rich sound of his voice and those sexy gray eyes piercing into hers, beckoning her to put aside her inhibitions and explore her darker desires as Miss Harman, sent a spark of arousal through her. She could feel the blush on her cheeks, but ignored it. “Okay,” she said softly, feeling him slip the wine cooler from her fingers, a naughty smile playing at his lips as he turned for a moment, setting it down on the ledge of the partition. When he turned back, she could see the admiration in his eyes, making her belly stir excitedly.

“Are you ready to learn more about your submission… Miss Harman?” he asked, helping her to the small wooden platform that allowed her to lean back against the padded leather while she structured herself to the X-shaped outline of the device.

“Yes, sir.” Her voice held a nervous tremor as she placed her arms, legs, and feet in the appropriate places, settling her head against the padded leather rest.

He stepped up close to the device, its height allowing them to be eye level with each other. “Do you remember your colors?” he asked, gliding his fingers up each of her arms until his hands clasped her wrists.

“Yes,” she breathed, looking at the way his hand engulfed her small wrist.

“How do you feel right now?” His silky tone lingered in her ear as he trailed soft wet kisses all the way to her clavicle.

“Green,” she whimpered, trying to bring her hands up to the sides of his head, having forgotten he held them until she felt his grip tighten.

“We’re not using the restraints, but I want you to keep your hands right where they are.” His lips were millimeters from hers. “I’m going to put the straps in your hands. You will simply hold them, understand?”

“Yes, sir,” she whispered, leaning forward to make contact with his lips, but he pulled back just out of her reach.

“Behave, missy. This is on my terms now.” A coy smile curled his lips as he released her wrists, putting the soft leather straps in her palms. “I’m going to lower you back now. Don’t be alarmed.”

Crystal’s heart thumped wildly in her chest as the device tilted back. Flat on her back, staring up at the big log rafters of the high ceiling, she heard it lock into place.

The Blurb:

After her fear of commitment brings an abrupt end to yet another relationship, Crystal Harman knows she is in desperate need of a major change in her life. With the help of her best friend, that change comes in the form of Donaven Sharp, the ruggedly gorgeous owner of a remote mountain retreat called Cobalt Canyon.

Donaven soon realizes that what Crystal has needed for a long time is a dominant man to spank her properly and take control both in and out of the bedroom, and he doesn’t hesitate to put her over his knee for her first bare-bottom spanking. Though it leaves her blushing, Donaven’s mastery of her body also leaves Crystal all but trembling with desire, and his forceful, demanding lovemaking brings her pleasure like nothing she has ever experienced before.

Donaven is everything she’s ever wanted in a man—someone who will both take care of her and discipline her when she needs it—but Crystal struggles to reconcile her yearning to submit to him with the demands of her career as a social worker protecting vulnerable women. When tragedy strikes one of her clients and guilt sends her life into a tailspin, can Donaven prove to Crystal that they have a future together and she belongs not only in his bed but also at his side?

Publisher’s Note: Claiming Crystal is an erotic romance novel that contains spankings, sexual scenes, anal play, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Maddie’s Intimate
Author’s Corner

Maddie:  Oh boy!  It's been a while since I've had someone in the corner. And there is no one better at spilling the beans than Melody.  So, tell me, a secluded retreat in the Cascades sounds like heaven.  What made you pick that location?

Melody:  The inspiration for the location came from a trip I took last summer up into the mountains. The ride on the motorcycles was awe inspiring to say the least.

Maddie:  Sounds like the scenery is gorgeous and the mountains sound pretty too.  LOL  Donaven is freakin' hot, what was your inspiration for his character?

Melody:  Easy! He’s everything I’d want in a man.

Maddie:  Succinct!  I like it.  J   Tell me about the Tiny Piney cabin in the story.  It cracked me up and reminded me of a doll house, although I'd get claustrophobic.  It sounds perfect for the AP couple, is that going to be forthcoming in a book 2, perhaps?

Melody:  More Matt, Sam, Salina and Capi are definitely on the horizon. Salina is really wanting that tree house Sam mentioned building for her. I plan to have a lot of fun with these characters. AP will be a challenge for me, but as an author I think it’s important to challenge yourself. It will be fun putting a new twist into my stories.

Maddie:  You were away for a while and we missed you, what's in store for Melody in the coming year?

Melody:  Well, as you know I have a hot Medieval with Em and Corbet to rework and wrap up, and I have a hot Halloween story in the works too. From there possibly more adventures in Cobalt Canyon.

Maddie:  Mm… the medieval sounds right up my alley.  As for Halloween, hot is good but if it’s scary I might need to call up Donaven to come hold my hand.

Maddie:  Before we go, how about a game of quick Q and A?  Give me five of your biggest pet peeves.

1.
Snoring
2.             Constant disturbances when I am trying to write
3.             Mosquitoes
4.             Searching for something I need, not being able to find it and then suddenly it appears as if by magic days later when I don’t need it anymore.
5.             When Walmart runs out of the Starbucks Breakfast blend coffee I live on.

Maddie:  On peeves 1-4…  Amen, Sister!  Number 5, eh.  Feel bad for you but a coffee worshiper I am not.

Thanks for joining me today, Melody.  Best of luck with Claiming Crystal and I hope there is much more forthcoming from up Cobalt Canyon way.
