Wicked Wanton Wednesday Goes Regency with Celeste Jones

Lucky me!  Two days, back to back of Victorian and Regency romance.  ~YUM~

Yesterday we traveled back to 19th century Chicago with Patty Devlin.  Today, Celeste Jones takes us to Regency London.
Oh, the romance, the history, the wonderful period fashions, and the spankings.  Ah... what fun!

If they only had deodorant, toilet paper, A/C and Big Macs, I'd go back in time in an instant.

Becoming Lady Amherst
Excerpt:
[This scene takes place in the conservatory]
I heard a snap and peeked back to see he had broken off a leafy branch from a nearby plant. He stroked the rough leaves over the singed flesh of my derriere, sending all the nerve endings into a frenzy.
“I cannot help but wonder.” He used the greenery in his hand to swat up and down my thighs and bottom. “What else might be on your mind to make sleep elusive, little wife. Are not our marital activities enough to fatigue you?”
“Yes. No.” I gasped for a steady breath.
“So, you do have something on your mind, and our physical relationship is not rigorous enough to suit you?”
“No. Yes.” I kicked my feet in frustration. “I do not know. Leave me alone.”
“Are you sure that is what you want?” The flora dropped to the floor while Jeffrey’s strong fingers moved inside my yearning passage.
“Yes,” I gasped. He zeroed in on my most sensitive place and stroked familiarly.
“Pineapple is a very sweet fruit, is it not?” He asked while he added a second finger to work my hot flesh.
“Yes,” I swallowed around the dry lump in my throat. “It is.”
“Do you know what is even sweeter?” His fingers plunged in and out. I pressed into him, clenching my muscles around his digits.
“What?” I finally said.
“Let me show you, little wife.” He removed his fingers, tipped me upright, then lifted my nightgown over my head before positioning me on the bench, my knees spread wide.
He knelt on the floor and lowered his mouth to touch me. There. Where his fingers had been. I opened my mouth to protest, but once his tongue stroked across my pussy, speech became impossible. I buried my hands in his hair, urging him closer. He enthusiastically obliged.
I knew I ought to be ashamed at having his mouth on me there, but I could only feel delight. I watched as he pleasured me. He licked along my inner thighs and across the swollen lips of my sex then he pulled back on the hood of my femininity to suck on the small nib there.
“Jeffrey!” I clutched his head between my fingers.
He raised his head and pulled me down for a kiss unlike any I ever experienced. There, on my lover’s mouth, I tasted my own essence. Shame and exhilaration flooded me. Pulling away from me, he gazed into my eyes. “That, my dear wife, is the sweetest taste on earth.” Then he kissed me again, and I had to agree.

Intrigued by the spirited Yankee Girl, Lord Amherst proposes.
Despite the circumstances of their marriage, Sarah and Jeffrey form a bond and appear headed for a bright future.
That is, until Sarah pretends to be someone she's not.

How much of your books are realistic, based on your own personal experiences?

CJ:  My book Twenty One Days to a Better Attitude features a lawyer as the heroine and since I'm a lawyer in real life, that is sort of based on personal experience.  My story in Milestones (A DD anthology) is about a spanking fiction writer and some of that is also based on real life and the challenges of having a secret life, especially when people around you fancy themselves to be good writers.  Some of that was totally venting my spleen/therapeutic for me.

MT:  How same/different are you from your main character?

CJ:  Sarah, the heroine in Becoming Lady Amherst, often gets into trouble for snarky comments, so that is exactly like me. (Hard to believe...ha!)

She is different from me because she is also rather sweet and innocent.

MT:  Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

CJ:  Gosh, I'd like to say that there is some deep meaning in all my books and that reading them will open new horizons for everyone. Mostly I just hope to offer a steamy and fun diversion from everyday life, and if I accomplish that I'll be happy.

MT:  What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

CJ:  Go for it.  Chances are the first story you write will be awful.  Mine was too.  But with each one, you learn something and improve.  Find someone you trust, not family or friend who is willing to give you some guidance.  Be willing to take their advice.

MT:  What is the trait or characteristic you find most appealing about your husband?

CJ:  There are several.  Currently, Mr. Jones and I are in the process of moving in with my aging parents.  This is not a small thing to ask of my husband, but watching him treat my parents with kindness and patience (also no small task) is humbling.  I realize that the way to show someone you love them is to love and care for the people and things they love.

MT:  Does he read your work?  Either way, why or why not?

CJ:  No.  He's one of those "I love all of it" readers and that's not really very helpful.  However, he does very patiently listen to me talk about my story ideas, which is a big help.

MT:  Biggest guilty pleasure, or which you are willing to risk a spanking...

CJ:  TV and Facebook!

MT:  Dear Celeste, I know how often you are on the evil thief of time, aka Facebook, so we can imagine you are willingly taking a risk often!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you the best of luck with Lady Amherst!  Please come back when you have another to share.

Patty Devlin is in the Tantalizing Tuesday Spotlight

There's nothing better than a steamy historical romance, unless its a steamy historical romance with a little spanking!  Now that's what I call kicking it up a notch.  Mm, mm...

One thing I love about a period piece is the fashion: corsets, bustles, petticoats, cages (that sounds interesting), drawers and crinolines, oh my!

I also love the tantalizing lead up to a hot spanking, or like in today's feature, a good switching, because the gentleman has to get through all the layers to the naughty bottom underneath.  Imagine his frustration, poor man.   <giggle>

Today's author, Patty Devlin, gives a wonderful illustration of this slow, tantalizing torment with an excerpt from: The Chicagoan Switch.  This is the second in her 'switch' series.  Dare I hope there will be more?

The blurb:

Caroline couldn't follow through with the mail order marriage she had agreed to, so she switched places with the woman next to her on the train. Anxious to get home, she had more reason to hurry when she received a wire relaying a family emergency.
Traveling with the Union Pacific across the mid- west was a long, hot trip and Caroline's temper flared at the man who took responsibility for the railroad. Her temper wasn't the only thing flaring - her bottom also felt the heat when Royce Ashby had had enough of her bad humor. A man's patience could only take him so far and it was quite obvious to him that Caroline was in need of a keeper. He knew he was up for the task.
Buy it Now!

Excerpt:

“You should have thought of that. The quicker we get it over with the less chance there will be, yes?” He reached for the hem of her skirt and she released the back of the bench again to push her skirt down and try to turn toward him.

“Royce, please… I’m sorry.”

He gripped her arms from behind her and press her back down over the bench again. “Do not let go again, Caroline, or I will add more. I will not tell you again, I will simply add more to what I was going to give you. This is going to happen. You are going to receive a spanking for leaving the safety of the pavilion without an escort or even telling anyone where you were going.” He lifted her skirt again and bunched into his left hand which he kept firmly on her lower back in case she should decide to jump or dash away again.

“No! You can’t!” she squeaked and started to fret again when he pulled the tie holding her drawers.

“I’m sorry, angel, but I must. I can’t see a thing and we’re to be married in a week anyway. A switch is worthless over clothes and I mean for you to feel and remember every bit of this.” Of course he could see all she had to behold but that was more than her tender sensibilities would allow. She had a beautiful upturned bottom, quivering and clenching, waiting for him to give her the punishment she knew she’d earned, even though she dreaded it. Oh, how he wished to cup them, to stroke them, those lovely mounds framed by the ruffles of her dress held captive just above the long slit splitting the two gorgeous half-moons and disappeared into the shadow of her sweet cunny. He had to get a hold of himself or he would toss the branches down and forget what he was about. He cleared his throat. “From now on when I tell you to do or not to do something for your safety, I mean it, young lady, and it will be reprimanded with the strictest recourse. Now, let’s get this done.”

The switch was almost silent, it’s only sound was on impact and it was a minimal thwick at best. He let her have a moment to understand and adjust to each of the first three, no four strikes with the switch. He wasn’t one to draw it out, but he knew that sting took a moment to ignite and then when it lit, the fire couldn’t be tamed. He wanted her to have a moment to come to grips with it.

Royce knew the moment the sting took over, she came up against his hand so hard and fast if he hadn’t been prepared she’d might have gotten away. Beyond her high-pitched cry, she did the cutest thing. It was probably sadistic of him to think so, but when she’d lifted her booted foot, drawers and all, and stomped, well it had a rippling effect on her bottom that made his pants feel way too snug. He delivered the rest of the stripes succinctly for both of their sanity, stopping only long enough in between to rub her bottom a moment when the first switch broke. He wanted to be sure her skin was not broken and to ensure that she continued to feel each of the following.

It was torture to touch her blazing backside and not let his hand drift lower to the nestle of curls his hand brushed over. He lied again to soothe her fears, gently assuring her he still couldn’t see her bottom. He was of course only stoking her backside to make sure the raised welts were not broken and that she was ready for the next switch.

“No, no… please… I won’t it do anymore… I’ll do as you say, I swear.”

“I’m sorry, angel. I’m sure you mean that right now—but you will need this reminder in the future to help you remember, and we’re not quite done.”

Liz will do anything to get away from her evil guardian, and she was prepared to disguise herself as a boy and look for work as a ranch hand. When Caroline, a stranger on the train next to her, sees through her "boy" disguise, and begs her to take her place as a mail-order bride, Liz doesn't hesitate long before saying yes. It's got to be easier than working on a ranch, and as a married woman with a new name, she'll be out of her guardian's clutches forever.

Wade Malone has been looking forward to his new bride for months, but when "Caroline" finally arrives, things don't exactly add up. For one, "Caroline" was supposed to be twenty-five years old; the woman who came off the train doesn't look a day above sixteen. He has a strong aversion to liars, particularly in a wife. But he's also a man who keeps his promises and whoever the woman is at his side, he's made a commitment.

That doesn't mean he's not going to handle his new bride very firmly indeed. Then, against all odds, Liz starts to fall for the no-nonsense rancher and his family. How will she ever keep him from finding out the complete truth about the switch?

Patty's doing some corner time today--naughty girl.

Thanks for participating in my interview Patty.  I have some serious questions and some fun stuff.  So here we go...

MT:  How much of your books are realistic, based on your own personal experiences?

PD:  Not much actually.  I try to keep away from writing about my life.  It's actually quite boring and makes for a lousy story.

MT:  I'm waiting for someone to tell me their title is actually a biography.  Would that be awesome?

How same/different are you from your main character?

PD:  I am spunky and sassy.  One of the things I can say that is most common in my books is that all of them carry my fantasies in one way or another.  The most similar character trait is that Caroline and I both could care less what society thinks of us.

MT:  What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

PD:  Everyone has a story, a dream, but most often are afraid to share it—don’t be. Sit down and write it and don’t be afraid of your inner weird. More than likely your weirdest, freakiest desire when put into words will make someone else feel like they have found someone else who gets them, who just understands. They won’t feel like a freak anymore. So don’t be afraid to share your story. Don’t weird yourself out, just write it.

MT:  I agree totally, Patty.  I think writers are fearless.  To put ourselves and our innermost thoughts out there, no matter how weird, freaky or kinky they may be.  That takes guts.  Even more so if you write under your own name. Then I am in awe.

Now for some fun stuff.
What is the trait or characteristic you find most appealing about your husband?

PD:  How supportive he is of me NO MATTER WHAT.  When I sat down to write and didn't leave my desk for days, he went to the store and bought a space heater for under my desk.  A couple months later, (a year before I'd ever been paid for my writing) he brought me home a laptop one day.  And it's not just my writing, my desire to homeschool my children, or have an experimental surgery...  He is always there for me and my closest, very best friend.

MT:  Does your husband read your work?  Either way, why or why not?

PD:  He did the first couple books.  He does not now, not for any real reason except he doesn't like to read romance.  He likes to read books like Tom Clancy.  He likes to play his Xbox or go fishing.  He watches MMA and he spends a lot of time with our children, he even does our laundry.  He praises me for my work and encourages me in many ways, but making him read my "long-haired" books would just be torture to him.  So, honestly it wouldn't make me or him happy in the long run.

MT:  OTK or different position?

PD:  I need the intimate contact.  I hate being bent over the bed.  Besides, if I'm over his lap, he is more likely to comfort me afterward in the way we both find mutual satisfaction).

MT:  Worst spanking memory?

PD: It was probably my first spanking.  Awkward, shocking and nothing like I had expected.  It wasn't sexy, fun or anything like I'd planned.

MT:  Best spanking memory?

PD:  My birthday spanking.  Read my post.

http://www.pattydevlin.com/2014/01/winter-spanks-cold-hands-warm-bottoms.html

MT:  Favorite après-spanking activity?

PD:  Honestly, most of the time I don't want to make lover afterward, if it was a punishment.  I don't feel sexy. I'm miserable and my stomach even hurts.  However, if it was a sexy fun spanking then you better bet I want some action after...

MT:  Biggest guilty pleasure, for which you are willing to risk a spanking?

PD:  Staying up late, sleeping in late, too much internet usage... Oh wait!  Did you only want one?

So hang on to your restraints boys and girls, keep some fresh panties nearby and enjoy an excerpt from Coming, Ready or Not.   (Don't forget to check out our interview after we take care of business).  Enjoy!

Excerpt:

"You know, I love making you come; love watching you squirm and making you squeak, feeling you tense and hearing all the noises you make. You tense up just before, did you know?"

I don't care. I don't care about anything right now but your fingers touching lightly against my clit.

"Please, Master."

I try to push my hips forward, needing more, wanting your touch.

"Don't even think about it."

You push me back firmly against the bed with a warning look.

"Yes, you tense up," you continue. "Just like now. Only you're not going to come, are you? Because I didn't say you could."

“No, Master, I… I won’t.”

You notice that I am avoiding looking at the clock and grin. “After all,” you say, “You’ve still got thirty nine minutes to go.

I groan, my whole body straining to hold back.

"I know how close you are," you whisper into my ear. "I do know. But it's up to me what happens, how I touch you; whether I do this or only this. Whether I let you come or make you wait.”

“Yes, Master.”

I try to think of something else. I can hear children playing outside in the street and my mind drifts to when we were kids, playing Cowboys and Indians in our garden. You used to tie me up then too but it never would have occurred to me back then that we’d end up here. We played hide and seek too – hearing ‘coming, ready or not’ never made me feel like this either.

A sharp slap across my cheek makes me yelp.

“Don’t drift off, Abby. I want you here, fully present and correct. I want to see you struggle to hold back, just to please me.”

You have your wish. Every nerve ending is on fire with the need to come and I have no idea how I’m holding on, except that somehow I am. I am desperate to let go, desperate to tip over the edge, to find release, but my need to please you has me doing everything I can to wait until you allow it.

“Thirty one minutes. All those seconds to tick away before I’ll allow you to come. One thousand, eight hundred and sixty seconds in fact.”

I squirm. “Oh, Sir. That sounds even longer.”

You laugh. “I know. Why do you think I said it? Evil, big, bad Dom, remember?”

“Meanie.”

Bio:

When not writing about delicious, hot male dominants and the female subs who love them, I’m usually doing something craft-like, reading, baking, eating the results of said baking, and attempting to satisfy the demands of His High and Mighty Dominance (the cat!). My first story, Imagine, was published in 2012 and since then I’ve published Coming, Ready or Not and The Journal, which was written with Domitri Xavier and was winner of Turning the Pages Erotica Book of the Year 2013. I’m working on several books at once as usual, and trying to decide which of my other book ideas to work on next!

Maddie's Intimate Authors Corner

A popular new feature of WWW, Liv participated in my author interview and had some insightful, humorous and candid answers to my questions.

If you haven't visited before, I break my interview into two sections, serious stuff and fun stuff.  Let's take care of the business end first.

MT:  How much of your books are realistic, based on your own personal experience?

LH:  Hopefully, they do come across as realistic.  I usually write about ordinary people having experiences that could actually happen, rather than billionaires and CEO's (though I am working on a slightly different one at the moment) and I hope the play and the relationships come across as real and possible, as well as erotic.  I quite often write humour into the stories because D/s relationships do have an awful lot of humour. Things go wrong, Doms make mistakes, subs open their mouths and get themselves straight into the best sort of trouble...

Some of it is based on my own experiences, though I'm not going to share which bits.  I will say that if it's a bit where the sub manages to drop herself in it, I've probably done or said something similar.

MT:  Aw... No one ever wants to share which bits.  That's no fun, but I respect your wish to keep personal, uh, well, personal.   Next question...

MT:  How same/different are you from your main character in today's story?

LH:  From Abby in Coming, Ready or Not?  I'm quite similar in that I love to laugh and I do like play to be fun.  I put my foot in my mouth far too often, just like she does too.  I'm not sure whether I want the kind of relationship she has with will, though.  Still thinking on that one!

MT:  What advice would you give to aspiring writers?

LH:  I have a note on my whiteboard which helps me - "The first draft doesn't have to be good.  It just has to be written". Just write, don't worry about the editing as you go along.  You can do that later.  Allow your first draft to utterly suck.  It really doesn't matter if it does.  Just get it out of your head, get the ideas on the page and then you've got something you can fix.  As another great piece of advice goes - you can't edit a blank page.

MT:  So true about the blank page.  Like you, Liv, I like to just right wile the creative juices are flowing and to hell with spellcheck and grammar.  I call it my writing frenzy.  Then when I go back. I wonder sometimes if I ever really went to college or took any type of English course.  LOL

Now, on to the fun stuff:

MT:  If you could be at trees, what kind would you be?  HA!  Just kidding, but here are a few quickie questions to help my readers get to know you a bit better.

What is your favorite spanking/BDSM position or implement?

LH:  I love the flogger and the crop.  I really couldn't pick between them.  Both of them can hurt, of course, but they can also be so sensual.

As for position, I tend to concentrate more on the sensations, so I don't really have a favourite.

MT:  Best spanking/BDSM memory?

LH:  Obviously the first time I played sticks in my mind and it is a great memory, but the best memory I have is of walking into a munch for the first time, meeting all the lovely people I'd chatted to online, and finding out they were exactly the same in person, and feeling like I'd come home.

MT:  Favorite après-spanking/BDSM activity?

LH:  Cuddles and chocolate.

MT:  Ah, cuddles.  Is there anything better?   Thanks for playing along, Liv.  I really enjoyed having you on today and wish you the best of success with your new release.

Tune in next week when WWW welcomes Dinah McLeod with her latest, Sir, Yes Sir.  I've read it and it really made me stand up straight and pay attention.  Until next week Wicked fans.

Love ya, Maddie

  SOPHIA’S REVENGE

By Harry Lime

This chapter introduces the characters and it begins in England at the home of the Harrow family. Sophia is returning from a party at the Carstairs Estate and has fallen in love with young Jeffrey Carstairs, the heir apparent of the Carstairs fortune. She has no idea that the young man is already betrothed to marry Priscilla Honeywell in Trent on Avon, a town much distant from the home of young Jeffrey. She conveys her feelings to Polly the maid because she has nobody else to talk to about these sudden feelings of love and deeply felt emotion. She tells the young Polly about the taste and feel of young Mister Carstair’s tongue on her lips and inside her mouth. She even confides that she managed to explore the full length of his impressive tool with her finger to see how long it really was. They have fun laughing and making up naughty jokes about men taking advantage of defenseless women.

In this chapter Captain Jack Harrow goes to the Carstairs Estate for a shooting party with his old friend Colonel Lionel Carstairs. They reminisce about the war and the topic turns to young Jeffrey and his prospects. It comes out in the conversation that the son is already betrothed to a Miss Priscilla Honeywell in another town and that they will be wed as soon as Jeffrey completes his studies at Cambridge University. Captain Harrow confides to the elder Carstairs that he will make every effort to keep his daughter safely away from the randy Jeffrey and stop trouble before it starts. When Sir Lionel talks to his son, he discovers that the lad is not truly smitten with the young girl but considers her a “Tasty dish” prime for the picking. They laugh together at her naïve nature and the elder man agrees to stay out of his son’s affairs so long as Jeffrey does nothing to jeopardize the upcoming marriage to the very rich Priscilla.
Warning: Both “Japanese Erotica Collection” and “Sophia’s Revenge” are filled with explicit sexual content and are not intended for readers under 18.

Maddie's Intimate Authors Corner

I am loving the new interview section offer each guests unique perspective on writing, insight into their writing style and persona, as well as some really fun and often candid answers.  Let's see what Harry has to say today shall we?

MT:  HOW MANY OF YOUR STORIES ARE REALISTIC, BASED ON YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES?

The vast majority of Harry Lime stories are fictional with the exception of stories in genres that are outside the realm of erotica. It is really more the degree of fiction or of reality in the story that answers that question. For example, the Japanese Erotica Collection, Volumes I and II are fictional in the abstract but many of the stories contain threads of both reality and experiences in part. The same could be said of novel length stories like “Return of a Hero” or “Rule Number One is to survive”. Both of those stories have a broad basis in erotica but tell a story that is basically non-erotic in nature. In my stories “Last Tango in Manhattan” and “Sal the Super, The Nookie King of the Bronx” the setting is primarily in New York City with views of the big apple that have nothing to do with either glamor or a tourist’s perception of the city. The scenarios of a number of my stories are set in the United Kingdom or in Europe. I have spent several years in Eastern Europe and the Middle East and like to write about those areas as well. Right now, my hero in “An Accidental Spy” is journeying from Rome to Livorno to Athens to the Greek Isles and onto Cyprus, etc. They are all locations that are familiar to me so much of the writings are realistic within a fictional format. When I write about guns, weapons systems or military techniques, it is from experience, but when I write in the first person about a pole dancer in Las Vegas, it is entirely fictional. Some of my lead characters are parts of my persona but most of them are a composite of people I have known and they help me pull a story together.

MT:  IS THERE A MESSAGE IN YOUR STORIES THAT YOU REALLY WANT READERS TO GRASP?

That is an interesting question and one that I have not considered to any great degree because I seldom write with an agenda in mind. Most of my stories are fluff and written to give readers something to enjoy without much deep thinking. Some of my stories are erotic parodies of well-known works or television series like “Gallagher’s Island” or “Archie and his Mates”. It sort of places well introduced characters in a different light and with definite erotic overtones. Others would be “Tammy and the Bachelor Party” and “Scarlett and the Carpetbagger” which was done in an ambitious stage-play format. In retrospect, I guess that I tried probably unsuccessfully to illustrate the bigger issue of “States Rights” rather than “Slavery” in the eyes of most Southerners. In the case of “Tammy” just as in the original story, the common sense of the “River Folk” often solved more questions than financial success or social status. I liked that message even within the framework of kinky activities.

MT: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE ASPIRING WRITERS?

My first bit of advice is to not wait too long before starting to write. In my estimation, I waited about fifty years too long before starting and deeply regret it. One of the reasons that I write so many stories is that I don’t know how long I will be able to keep writing. I have written about 4,000 pages of content in the last 30 months and have tried to dabble in as many genres as possible. I think the best approach is to write more for your own personal enjoyment than for economic reasons or the lure of fame and fortune. I think that writing becomes better when the writer is enjoying what he or she is doing and does not consider it a job. Next I would be cautious about accepting advice from anybody including myself because you are your own best critic. Try not to get caught up into an investment mode hoping for a return down the line. There are a lot of ways to get the job done without up-front money. Lastly, try not to have a defensive attitude about criticism because feed-back is the best way to improve the writing.

MT:  WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BDSM/SPANKING POSITION OR IMPLEMENT?

If you have read any of my stories, you would discover that I am much enthused with the use of a “spanking table” like the one in “Alison Rides the Spanking Horse”. I have to admit this story is an unabashed satire of “Secretary” which was one of my favorite films with James Spader. A recent spanking story I wrote is called “Lock, Stock and Barrel” with the “lock” being restraint fetish, the “stock” being placed in an old-fashioned stock, a BDSM device which I have employed in several historical stories of fetish erotica, and the “barrel” being a cuffed device that would spread the body wide open for spanking and rear entry sports. Several of my “Witch” stories have used the “stock” as a device since it was quite popular in that era. My stories tend to focus on the buttocks as the aiming point rather than the breasts or the pubic area which is a step up in the BDSM hierarchy and unattempted as yet by me.

MT:  Harry, I don't think you are in the minority as a fan of "Secretary" which I have read has sparked many a closet spankos interest and exploration in the more open spanking world.  Why this film I wonder when there have been others?  Is it because it of Spader and Gyllenhaal who are mainstream actors?  Intriguing, isn't it?

MT:  WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE APRES-SPANKING/BDSM ACTIVITY?

The majority of my spanking/BDSM stories will customarily finish with a spirited session of anal copulation emphasizing the use of toys, fingers and male equipment providing the partner is a male. If it is another female, I would include the use of a strap-on to finish the full scenario. There are variations on the post activity phase, but that seems the most prevalent and fits the mood quite well.
